10-25 from both the free throw line and 3 point line.

let that sink in

So, we should back up on the FT?  You don’t have to stand at a measley 15 ft if you don’t want to.    😀

Maybe they can request a defender in their face as well

As soon as the free throw shooting improves we will win these, and even if they don’t improve they will be in most games this year.

Exactly ..... so saying that if it doesn't improve, CBG should start benching people was a little bit melodramatic, don't ya think?

It's not like there's a quick fix, hopefully, there are incremental gains as we move froward. No one is getting better at shooting FTs in a game by not playing in a game. Shooting FTs in an empty gym is just a shade different than when you're down 3 with a minute to go.

The strange thing is, today aside, the vast majority of their missed ft's have come when there's no pressure like that ...

Benching for FTs should only be strategic as in getting guys off in later minutes when the other team is fouling in a comeback attempt. Else, it’s a youth league punishment.

Not if you want to win. Listen, there is no harm sitting someone on the bench for an extra stretch if they are missing free throws left and right. It reinforces the point that free throws and execution matter. I’m not suggesting we bury someone in the bench forever.

Bench them. I bet they don't even know FTs are a big deal at this point and that that they've mattered to us in games so far.

Probably not, just like CBG doesn't realize you're allowed to practice them

Please. CBG has no idea. Why even bring that up?

Yep, but at this point do we have someone to rely on really.  I think we'll see improvement eventually.  This is a process and CBG seems to have a pretty good idea of what he is doing .  We are miles ahead at this point
