Surely you don't think that all of our donors are USF Alumni? Hell, if he can score points AND get into a gators pocket book, I'm all for it! Or a 'Nole, Cane and anybody else in the Bay area.

it is not a bad thing to have a pipeline to UF for transfers or former coaches or be a farm system for them in coach development for their alumni moving up coaching ranks. sharing donors even better ****if**** that happens.

do I like it on an emotional level? no. not at all. I am very vociferously the antithesis of a Gator fan. 

but there is literally zero downside to having an extra link to the state's flagship university & its successful SEC football program.

Yeah, I don't think anyone is saying turn the money away as much as "I'll believe it when I see it".   Considering the way most UF fans/grads look down on USF in general i doubt this theory will work out in reality.

Why would any former UF alumni want us to become competitive by donating a penny to USF?  It would be great, but I don't see it happening with an amount that would make a difference.
