I think you must have posted this in the wrong thread. not sure this has any relevance to the conversation. I haven't seen anyone that hasn't liked the hire

I was referring to the questions about being able to adapt from D2 to D1.

ha ha like Tua or Lawrence are an option for us

we have been lucky to recruit QBs that had better offers to play other positions for some big schools

we are not going to win any battles for the best QB d1 ready talent in the country

now let me ask you would you rather have a 3 star high school QB from Georgia with little D1 interest or a D2 national champion QB who was a finalist for the equivalent of the heisman trophy?

as a side note the opposing Qb for Ferris state in that title game had committed to Michigan State

I'm not saying there aren't good players at the D2 level including some/many that could start at D1 and I just pulled two recently highly successful true freshman out of the air.   You said something to the effect that D2 experience was better than HS experience and all I'm saying is that doesn't always translate to a better player.

Barnett signed with two P5 schools before coming to us, one of which was Bama.   Is this D2 guy better than him, I haven't actually seen him play?

Was someone saying that about Bell?  We were discussing a D2 quarterback transferring

Id be okay taking his QB along with him, at least those QB will already have confidence with the offense.

You are correct. I was wrong. I thought it was relative to the quality of coach he was relative to his D2 players being good enough to play D1...my bad. That being said I give it 2 weeks before my initial statement becomes true...😀

Have any of you watched D2? They have 5 foot tall WRs and 5'8" TEs. You want to promote a kid TWO levels higher? D2 is not even close to FCS
