Is it just me or is this an underwhelming hire? Carey took over a great NIU program that seems to have regressed in the years he's been in charge.

Underwhelming is probably the best to describe it.  Temple made more of a lateral move it seems rather than a big hire.  Not really sure who was available or who had interest but this doesn't seem like a threatening hire to other teams in the conference.

His conference record is pretty good. I think that team just has their limitations. I think this hire is not bad. He definitely will not get poached for at least 2 years.
