Ah yes the new "Pro" league.

How fitting the league chose that stadium.  Now another tenant can claim their own championship and whine about not being invited to the big game, even though they played lesser competition.

I actually look forward to this new league.

No no extra points, less commercials, shorter game time.

Many good things for the fans.

Funny you mention that. I was curious about how many commercials there were in NFL games and did a search.  Think I saw an article from 2013 that said that there is over an hour of commercials, 11 minutes of actual action and 17 minutes of replay.  No wonder I can't watch games on TV.

I am definitely going to give it a try. It looks well organized and thought out...plus there is tv coverage.

Also new league won't have replys...

I can hardly watch college football because of commercial breaks and slow pace let alone NFL where I have no connection like I do with a university.

This league will have:

No media timeouts,

30 second play clock (NFL IS 40).

No replays except if a coach uses a challenge flag....

This league may put the XFL out of business before it begins. Or certainly give it a head start that will be difficult to catch up to. Current players have signed a 3 year contract preventing them from joining the XFL for a while.

Fast forward...something you can’t use at the stadium.

UCf must have given them a better rental rate-- I would have thought they would go with the Citrus Bowl for this team

Also-- someone asked why BJ Daniels was allowed to be drafted by Salt Lake-- based on the limited information regarding area teams can get their players, he falls into the Pro team area for being on the roster for Seattle I think. There would obviously be some cross over in terms of guys who played football at an out of state college and then had some experience with some other NFL teams in even more areas. That is just me shooting from the hip though-- I have not really looked into this league but I like what I am hearing so far. It might be someday impact how the NFL does things.

But what a great opportunity they had to take it one step further--- by going back to leather helmets.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
