If that is the case then they might be able to break ground later this year. Thanks for the insight.

That's the hope.

Originally Harlan spoke of starting the football portion for $10 million and the offices and others portions could be built in a 2nd phase.

Kelly has since said he wasn’t interested in doing it in 2 phases and  said we would have to do it all at once.

Nah. Why do the part that actually impacts football players when you have $10 million? Hold out for the other $30 million for the offices.

It may be because it is much easier to do the project all at once or there may be a greater cost to splitting it into phases. Alternatively, there may be a psychological element that makes it easier to raise funds prior to the project starting. This would be a great question for VPoA Kelly.

It will cost more and take longer to do it in phases.  It will also slow down fundraising if they only build part of it.  We would look real stupid if we only built part of it and never got enough funds to complete the whole project.

When I’m braiding his hair tomorrow, I’ll ask him about the IPF right after we discuss the UF game.

We’d look stupid only having an IPF, but not finishing the $30 million office complex?

Shut down the USF govt until the complex is fully funded.

I'm not sure what the allocation of funds for the project looks like, but I'll be pissed if my donations went to fund a 30MM office building...

I've heard the plan is to break ground in 2019 and be finished for the Fall 2020 season.

I’ve heard we’re joining the ACC.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
