I had never heard of a skip pass either ,but I don't really follow basketball that closely 

When I first heard it, I though in my mind that it was another term for a bounce pass and I was missing something. Then I started connecting the dots.

I don't know if it necessarily skips all the other players.  I think of it from one side of the middle of court to the other.  Maybe from the corner to the top of the key opposite side or, like DCs pass, vice versa.  I guess corner to corner would be also but that is really dangerous.

Raptor's video does a good job defining it. To me, there are skip passes like in the vid and then there are SKIP passes, of which DC's was the latter ...
