Geez, I might become an Army fan.  I'm convinced.

Exactly. I’m pretty sure weed and parking tickets aren’t big problems on their team.

Dont forget "tucking in their shirts" " or wearing earrings to meetings" lol

Watching Army totally destroy a team that is clearly more talented than them. Why? Better coaching. More disciplined players. Army came very close to beating OU this year (lost to them in OT). If they can take OU to OT, imagine what Monken could do in Tampa.

Agreed. We can dream

First we would have to change the culture which would allow the coach and the school to have control and discipline on players.  We routinely shun that here.   Another thread here talking about how css should allow guys to blaze up, sure that is not an issue at West point.

Next the players would need a different attitude. This year the team was not together as a team by mid season. Instead of tightening the bond it seemed we were not connected as a team.

This... as a 16 year vet, I can say with utmost assurance our players would not be use to the level of discipline of an academy school

Whoa...more discipline than CCS and his 4 strikes and you’re out?!? Come on. That’s not even possible.

Houston set to fire Major Applewhite after two winning seasons, with a trend downward this past season. Sound familiar?

Didn't that trend start after they lost their QB?  I may be mistaken as I often am.

I believe you’re correct. I don’t agree with them firing after two seasons but it’s clear that immediate winning and conference championships are on their mind.
