If a team is required to pay for a set number of tickets, doesn't it make sense to distribute them to your fans when it is a home game and there is no demand?

That is an interesting question.  I know a couple of couples that cut support to Athletics because of our most recent former AD.

Twitter still emails me his tweets even though I haven't followed him in forever. I get sick every time I see them. Maybe I need to do a block so Twitter won't think they are relevant to me.

Not sure how to measure it since there was a program paradigm shift to include donations as an imbedded cost in season tickets.

I guess the ultimate answer is: Not enough.

Another question,  how many former students from the past 10 years have become donors to the football program?

 How many are season ticket holders in non-donor sections?

Ultimate answer is definitely not enough ..... but donations are pulled out of the season ticket cost so they are still trackable.

I would hope he didn't have to. If MH was the sole reason they cut support, they should have jumped back in with his departure.

Agreed. By G5 standards, our attendance isn't bad, but my response was to the "building a fan base that comes out in large numbers no matter what" comment. I'm not sure we can add a ton to our already OK attendance. I don't believe we'll see consistently see the attendance at, say 42-43K while in the AAC, even if we do start winning Conference Championships. Only so much you can do to promote AAC matchups.

As reported in the AD’s Annual Report 2017-2018.....

1.   Total Athletics Giving:   2016/17 -  $13.6M ;  2017/18 - $6.7M

2.   Total Bulls Club Members:  2016/17 - 3579;  2017-18 - 3185

3.    Aggregate Scholarship Cost vs Bulls Club Scholarship Giving*

        2016/17  Cost $2.5M;  Giving $5.9M

        2017/18. Cost $2.2M;  Giving $6.1M

         *This is where the per seat donation portion of season tickets is allocated to.
