I wonder if we can get a progression of injuries from game one all the way though the season.  Can we all agree that even in college, there can be a HUGE Step up or down from the starters down through the depth chart (and also as far down as the rookies?)

I wonder how much of a factor it was losing so many skilled and great position players throughout the year.

As for uninspired football yesterday, I believe that we are going to have to search for a bonified OC because what we saw last night was definitely not inspiring confidence.  But I am also not calling for the coaches head because he made a decision and stuck with it through a meaningless bowlgame.

Injuries occur, being tired increases the chances. FSU proved this back in the day when they pioneered GPS workout trackers.

Coaching also can take you only so far!!! The players have to actually Play the game too!  If a player knows how to tackle, and he doesn't tackle properly, the only thing that is on the coaches is when they don't pull that player aside and tell him what he's doing wrong, or get him off the field.  I don't see that as a reality when we had so many players with poor tackling during the games.

Anyways, I won't convince any of you to relax the coaching Armageddon, and you all will never convince me that every coach that doesn't win for us 10-11 games every year for the rest of the life of this team should go!

So on I move to the next topic.

It's about the process not the results to me.  I care less about wins and losses and more about the basic things that I, as merely a fan of the game, know to be true.  (And yes there are some things that we can know)

There is no good "process" behind starting ur number 2 QB when number 1 is ready to go in a bowl game.  O.  Zip.  Zilch.   There is also no reason to pull the backup after two possessions if you decide to start him.

It simply is what it is: "horrendous game day player management".  And this has been seen the ENTIRE year.  QBs were jerked around for no rhyme or reason.  How dumb do you have to be (as a coach) to *not* realize that splitting the backup QB role among two players reduces their reps with first string and in turn makes both worse because they have less practice???!

Players want to have fun and players want to win and right now under Strong they’re experiencing neither.  Probably explains the apathy I saw on the sidelines yesterday.

I saw the same thing pretty much all season, but night was especially bad. The players didn't give a crap about anything, and I  saw zero emotion. They didn't seem to care that they were getting their butts kicked.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
