That's the key. These kids were all three star talent. Most of the time those kids don't start figuring it out until they are upperclassmen and we are expecting them to stud out as underclassmen.

What you saw yesterday wasn't a difference in talent. It was men playing boys. We didn't have a corner that could cover their NFL ready SR WR, they had 5 returning starters along the OL, and veteran DL and redshirt senior at running back. We don't have any of that.

What I saw was a team that is poorly prepared week in and week out in all facets of the game.  It was funny watching a team find multiple ways to get the ball into the hands of that "NFL ready SR WR" in space so he can make things happen while we run the same mundane plays over and over for most of the season

 

But again, how could we ever expect us to have enough talent on the field to COMPETE, not win, just compete with Marshall?

Exactly, no disrespect to them.  They have a nice little G5 program, but our talent level should never be "men vs. boys" when we are playing them.  That's called piss poor coaching

i'm starting to understand why so many other fan bases think we are arrogant.

Good point...I suspect most of the country recognizes Marshall before they do USF (although for tragic reasons).

First of all I couldn't care less what other fans think and second why shouldn't we feel that we are superior to these other programs.  Would Alabama fans be cool with us walking into their stadium and kicking their ass on national television so decisively?

That's a sad testament to our athletic department if we haven't been able to advance our brand over the past 20+ years

 because we haven't done anything as a program.....ever. Based on our accomplishments, we are nice little G5 program.

......really an Alabama reference? We are much closer to Marshall than Alabama, and that's not even close.
