Just spitballing here, but you could, maybe, not bring it up in every thread, multiple times, no matter the subject. At least give it a try for a month or so and gauge the response.

We were in a p5 conference until 2012. I would have hoped we recruited better back then.

And look where that got him, he has all but vanished. You have to find your niche and then corner the market otherwise the Amazons of the world will swollow you up.
