Nice defense effort by the ladies.

Not surprising...USF’s #16 Defense vs GW’s #526 Offense.

The game was not a thing of beauty offensively.  Outside of the 1st quarter (and maybe early 2nd quarter) when USF got the ball down low into the post it was a hodge podge of an offense.  We are missing the point guard quite a bit.  She should be back in a few weeks and hopefully she'll be able to get back into the swing of things quickly and let Harvey do her thing at the 2 position.

Harvey has been the starting PG all season, or am I missing something?

Elisa Pinzan should be the starting PG.  Believe she played in a couple of games but has been out with injury/illness.

You say she should be but hasn't been.

When she gets back and into shape CJF says she will be.

Thanks. If she is a better PG than Harvey good for us. I have loved Harvey since the 1st game. She is my replacement for Laura  once she graduates.

My hunch, is when Pinzan comes back she starts at the 1, but not taking away Harvey's minutes, Harvey would then start at the 2, where she can focus more on being a scorer.  Our best lineup right now includes both of them on the court, plus Laura and 2 of our 4 good bigs.

Just went back and looked at box scores.  Elisa's minutes in order were 10, 16, 19, 30, 25, 31 and 38.  The last 2 were starts vs UNC and UCLA.  When healthy she'll be the starter.

The question we don't know, if Laksa was healthy at the 2, who would start at the 1, and my guess is Harvey, but that isn't important, both Harvey and Pinzan have played well and earned minutes.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
