Talk about a premature title to a thread...and no one likes premature...

This hire may dictate the success or failure of CCS at USF.

Why would CCS have anything to do with the OC hire?  I heard he doesn't even know the offense exists

It's true. One of my mom's friends Tweeted about it.

I just posted this in another thread, but I have a solution to said problem...King and Kinnan as co-offensive coordinators.

Let the architect of the Gulf Coast Offense pass his knowledge on to King and then in a couple of years when Kinnan is ready to retire, King will take the full reins - maybe even stepping into a higher role (HC anyone) if it goes well.

I like this co-OC idea with King and Kinnan.

Or alternatively, make King OC with Kinnan a “consultant”.

Whichever works logistically.

I think the main reason someone might bring up Mike Sanford Jr., is because Mike Sanford Sr. was also on his staff as a RB coach and both are available.

Mike Sanford Sr. was Strong's OC at Louisville in 2010 but was demoted for Shaun Watson in 2011.

Not sure what their relationship is like because Mike Sanford Sr. went to Utah State in 2012.

Shaun Watson is probably staying at Pitt.

Oh lord I would 🤢🤮

I wish Mike Leach used an Offensive Coordinator that we could hire away.

I would love USF doing a high paced Air Raid.

Any disciples of him out there besides Kingsbury?

As long as our passing patterns have in/out-breaking routes.  It was a struggle to see our WRs hit as soon as the ball got to them on those short curl routes, and I'm surprised that defenses didn't pick up on the repetition and intercept more passes.  Separation from DBs and catching the ball in stride alone would've given this team two more wins (Temple at the very least), added to our margin-of-victories, and put us close against a Milton-less UCF.  We'd pick up 8-12 yards at-a-time throwing digs/crosses to our big WRs and make game-breakers with the fast guys.
