Holtz always signed his classes early. sometimes the best recruits come down to a last minute decision between us and say one of the big 3. It’s fine...Holtz did not work in early signing period times. I don’t think you get those lists minute switches like you use to. Also, we can’t screw around, we need help in specific areas ASAP. Charlie may be a dinosaur when it comes to coaching philosophy, but he is a solid recruiter who knows Florida & is a respected name with HS coaches in the state. this should also put to rest some of the fears that recruits will hesitate on committing to USF due to lack of an OC. La Tech had 1 kid drafted in 18. USF had 2. Know that is Taggarts guys but he was known as a great recruiter also.
