of course. my neighbor hit my wife and totaled her car. Their insurance paid. oh and I have insurance to protect me against uninsured motorists. not sure what this has to do with this situation though.

He’s not in jail for a suspended license. He’s in jail because he broke a traffic law, failed to pay the fine, had his license suspended, got caught driving on that suspended license, was given a court date, then skipped that too.

I'm sure he would have shown up if they just gave him another court date. LOL What are they suppose to do if you fail to appear in court? Why ever show up if there are no consequences for failing to show up?

come on we don't have room in our jails for the white collar pharma execs and doctors that are pushing opiods that kill tens of thousands in this country. we need that space for kids who drive with a suspended license.

How many of those doctors do you think walked free when the jails were full last night? I bet at least 40.

Well, it would actually be, "I'm in for failing to adhere to traffic laws, then not paying my ticket, getting my license suspended, then getting pulled over on that suspended license, agreeing to go to court on a specified date to resolve my inability to figure out basic procedures, then not showing for that date either. Also, why are you in low-level county lockup as a murderer?"

And how exactly do they decide to "garnish" his wages if he doesn't show up to court?

You right down on a piece of paper how much you want to garnish. Mail it to him. And ask him to send that much back. Please.
