i don't think that was due to lack of talent, I think it was poor playcalling, game planning & overall coaching philosophy.

some of those things are going to change as a natural consequence of Stilbert's departure, so that element of uncertainty for Marshall could play to our advantage.

i certainly think we have the athletic talent to beat Marshall. this is on coaching.

I think we had serious talent problems all over the field: OL, LB, DB (at the end of the season), Punting (way too inconsistent). Yes, on top of that coaching philosophy sucked.

When he went undefeated as a QB  at Tulane, they ran a spread.

As offensive as our opponents were, particularly UCONN, we managed to make them even more offensive in the other sense.
