As good as the numbers looked (mainly last year), this guy solely relied on out-talenting the opposition.

What was the last game USF won where we didn't have the clear talent advantage? That's been, at least, the last 36 wins.

Counting bowl games, I'd say Texas Tech, or maybe South Carolina, but your question is a good one. Not often we out-coach teams with similar talent. Another question, when was our last marquee win? I can't think of any after the Notre Dame game with Skip.

Depends on how you quantify "clear talent advantage"? Arguments could be made for either Illinois or Ga Tech being the answer to your question ...

Looks pretty similar to our roster (though I would probably give us the overall edge, but a disadvantage in a few specific areas). And yes, I get the flaws in this comparison and agree it could go either way.

Even though we lost to McNeese State 56-27 in 2013, I am satisfied in knowing that they are signed up for several horrific seasons of half back dives and punts on 4 & 1 with the game on the line.

It was about beating teams with more talent and I'll go out on a limb and say, regardless of their record, Clemson had more talent ...
