Just a side note. It is very possible that the ACC will not be able to field a representative to the Gasparilla bowl so in that situation you would be facing a CUSA, Sun Belt or MAC team.

The reason for this is the SEC probably won’t have a representative for the B’ham Bowl or Independance Bowl because they will likely get 2 at large representatives in the New Years 6. 

The B’ham bowl has a secondary relationship with the ACC. The ACC will likely fill that slot. So although Gasparilla is the 11th ACC slot and the ACC has 11 bowl eligible teams, I would not be shocked if the Gasparilla will be left out of the P5.

I'd love to get an ACC team....  UM, Duke or Wake, over any SBC/cUSA team.   Yes,, even after the last 5 losses.    We need to know what we are capable of, and I'd like to see how we come back after 3-4 weeks to get healthy and practice.   We have back to back bowl wins against the P5.   Gotta try for 3.    Better to lose to a 'quality' opponent that beat an 'inferior' team we will get no credit for beating...
