Absolute fairest would be 12 teams, all conference champs, and two at-large teams with top 4 seeds getting a 1st round bye. Seeds 5-8 get home field for the 1st round. If this expansion ever took place and went the way it’s being prescribed most teams would be better off having been in a crappier conference than they are currently in, no one is going to buy into that. I don't think, for one second, that my scenario would ever come to fruition. I just think it would be fun to see.
