Strong's offense's have always been ultraconservative and his teams rather mediocre with the exception of years with dynamic qbs like Bridgewater and QF.  I'm more hoping for the emergence of Battle or McCloud at the QB position.  Otherwise I guess I'll settle of canning for Gilbert and hope for a sudden change of philosophy by Strong

That's the key.  That could happen with Gilbert though or maybe he really is as clueless as he has appeared

Someone needs to get him to understand how this game has changed and to allow the OC to do his thing.

I'd prefer a late career Bowden\Paterno-esque styled team with Chuck just being the face of things.

I’ll spell it out for you.

He only chooses the s-t-y-le of offense to run. But doesnt do the actual playcalling on the offensive side.

I'm not sure what you are talking about.  CCS has nothing to do with the offense.  It is all on the OC ......
