looks like K- State has moved on from Leavitt. I think they are waiting on North Dakota state to finish they're latest national championship run.

Sounds like they found a winner!

Anyone who thinks/says that is an idiot.  You have your priorities set correctly.

Jim Leavitt's head coaching window has closed. He masterminded a program from scratch to success, secured a legacy, and racked millions along the way. What more can a man aspire to achieve at the peak of his career?

Not discounting his ability to land a HC position. Plenty more egregious perpetrators have retaken the helm after their 2nd or 3rd apology tour. As one of the better defensive minds in the game, CJL will be just fine riding out his golden years in a coordinator position.

What a shame that USF has left a Scarlet Letter on this man forever.

Especially after being so loyal for so long.

He had a contract from Alabama all printed out and everything.

Truly sad.

I'm a big CJL fan and actually would welcome him back.  But USF didn't put a scarlet letter on him.  He did that himself by interfering with an investigation.  I am a former investigator for a city government and can tell you that I have seen people facing minor discipline screw up and pressure witnesses.  That is just an immediate termination.  Now, I don't know the specifics of how this occurred (if you weren't there, you don't either).  But I have a hard time believing that Jim was totally a victim.  We all screw up.  You man up, make changes, and move on.  But you don't cry victim when you have brought crap down on yourself.  We have enough of those people in the world already.

Jesus, what is this the CJL Apology Tour? At the end of the day Jim realized when you sow it you reap it...

CJL is USF Football, there was nothing before him and there has been nothing since. Embrace our founder and be free.

Jim is making $1.7 million a year to be DC at Oregon. I would take that Scarlet Letter.
