UCF getting 'close' to CFP is good for AAC and USF

I know we hate the Kaniggits from Oviedo.  Set that aside just for this discussion.

If UCF gets to #5 or #6 this week because of losses by, say, Ohio State and Oklahoma... that is a REALLY GOOD THING for the AAC.

You see, people are not big on UCF because "they didn't really play anyone" ...  Well, that is a function of the perception of the AAC and the UCF non-conference slate.

Next season, our beloved USF bulls face Wisconsin, Georgia, and BYU... and we should see some AAC rankings (UCF, Cincy, and maybe Houston or even Memphis) at various points next year...  Under the very-hard-to-believe-its-almost-delusional scenario of USF running the table, USF should also get the same consideration in the Top 6 to 8 teams.

Everyone fell in love with Boise State even through the Mountain West never really did well overall...  UCF's playoff push, as much as we detest them... is good for the AAC.

Sure it's tough... but UCF will beat Memphis by double digits... and I think it's likely Northwestern will with the Big Ten and Texas will win the Big 12 ... and no one is going to jump UCF ... and UCF might (might) jump Michigan.

It's not a given... but it is within the realm of possibilities.

I don't give a crap about the AAC or UCF and under nearly zero circumstances do I want to see them win. If they played UF I might hope they win.

Notre Dame making it in is also good because it’s probably going to force expansion or change of format when there are only 2 actual conferences who are going to get into the playoffs, unless Oklahoma somehow jumps in which I guess is looking likely.

This is actuate and could happen. I do think Northwestern gets pounded though and ucf stays where they are. But regardless, it is good for the conference and USF gets more conference $.

Well, you have to give a crap about the AAC. Every USF fan has to give a crap. Maybe 2.

The better our perception... the closer we get to the "Power 6" hype... the better the next TV contract will be (and more $$ for USF).

Plus, no matter how much we hate them... the nation views USF/UCF as a pair now for the inevitable expansion that will be coming in a handful of years.
