Recovered from what? lol Levitt averaged 8 wins per season

When weighted for inflation that works out to be roughly 24 AAC wins per season.

5 years in the big leagues and nothing to show 4 it. UCONN even won a big east title twice at 9-4 and 8-5. image.png.ba3e9f31f426f7efc5010054305d4a2b.png

What does that have to do with this minor league conference? More telling is he never lost to the like of UCF, ECU et al. The likes of which are now the pillars of our conference. We used to know these teams were firmly beneath us because CJL made us know we couldn’t lose to them, every coach since him has blurred the line between us and anyone we thought was beneath us. Losing to UCF, FCS teams and an F?U team was impossible under CJL and he would have steamrolled this CUSA 3.0 Conference.

It is interesting to note that all three programs that fired/pressured out their coaches that year due to some "altercation" with a player/players (Mangino/Kansas, Leach/TTU and Leavitt/USF) have never really recovered (for different reasons).

I think we’ve come full circle. Kinda hate to bring it up but didn’t this year have a CJL-year like feel to it after it's all said and done?

CJL coudn't even beat out a 8-5 and 9-4 UCONN team for the Big East title. I know he's your boy, but he gets waaaay to big of a pass for his lack of success compared to the other coaches. And the cupboard of players he left us didnt exactly steamroll anybody when we became the AAC.

He is the only successful one as defined by any measurable, not to mention he accomplished all of those things while constantly carrying the program uphill while the others have failed on the way down the hill.

I think really the only way you see a coach go back somewhere is if they left on their own terms (retiring, going to a perceived better job).

Virtue Signaling has consequences.

USF was in the big east from 2005-2012. CJL has 5 YEARS in the big leagues. He got fired in 2010, but had a good 5 years. CSH had 2 years in the big East. altogether this school was a p5 school for 7 years and 5 of those years went to CJL who didnt win chiit.

Leavitt coached here until 2009. He might have been fired in 2010 but he wasn’t the coach for the 2010 season.
