Brown, 67, was North Carolina's coach from 1988-97 before he took the job at Texas. The Heels went 69-46-1 under Brown and made a pair of Gator Bowl appearances (both victories) in his last two years with the program.

 

The first domino falls. Personally I thought Brown was done, but I think this is a good hire for UNC.

opens up a SEC coordinator position. 

the article indicates the Auburns OC, Chip Lindsey and former Ole Miss HC, Hugh Freeze are the early favorites. I think Kingsbury will get a call as well but Pruitt wants to run the ball so maybe not a good fit.

Yeah but I there are still maybe three other Jobs that he could take out there. i see going to a lower HC job instead moving up to the P5 as an OC. (Umass, CMU, char.)

He just doesnt seem like the head coach type or a person that wants to be a head coach. His energy level reminds me of Jay Culter

For those watching for Gilbert opportunities, there is talk of North Texas's Seth Littrell getting one of the bigger jobs, (Colorado, Texas Tech) making North Texas another potential landing spot for Gilbert. I know some question his HC qualities but I think he has some clout in the lone star state.
