So many reasons it makes sense and candidates would figure it out. The trend, the demeanor, the unique economics.

Strong had the best TE in the nation he said in Wilcox what did they do with him...not much. 

We can cut him for cheap but USF will likely keep him and Strong will do just as bad if not worse and then he gets fired and we pay more.

Watch his old pressers at Texas his final year man so much cringe.  I think Strong would make a solid DC and wouldn't mind if he was just the DC but he isn't a good HC.

USF always does the boring thing, hopefully this ad is different. Our new president needs to be more aggressive when it comes to athletics.

IMO, CCS seems like he doesn’t want to be here and like he’s just not head coach material.

There is nothing wrong with either of these things, except that he IS here and WONT change his attitude towards recruiting/leadership/game management.

So as far as I’m concerned, we have to cut him loose now - before he does more damage to the program - and bring in an up and comer who’s excited to be handed the reins and who actually wants to recruit and lead. 

I still think CCS has some years left as a DC, probably at an upper tier P5 school (UM, FSU, Tennessee, WVU, etc.) but he’s proven after 9 years that he’s just never going to be a super successful HC.

FBS teams we beat with winning records in Strong's tenure: Temple 7-6 (2017), GT 7-5. Actually takes about 5 seconds.

Totally different situation, but Lovie Smith got a 2-year extension after going 4-8. Was a bit surprised to see that.
