Charlie Strong is not getting fired

Can't we just not renew contract just fix the glitch.

Not sure how his contract is..if so then we wouldn't fire him just part ways.

That answers my previous question about whether a new contract had to be drawn up.

You got it all wrong. First, the best candidates are or will be available now. If you wait you will miss out. B, the new coach will need time to put a staff together. Finally, you also need to give a new coach time to put a recruiting class together

Early signing period is December 19-21 so if u wait till January 1 it can cause problems where is a recruit signs and finds out strong is not there they will want out and it just causes problems in recruiting. Doing it this week allows the recruits to know if strong will be there and they can sign somewhere else if they want to
