I will say in 2017 the offense was already showing signs of stagnation.  Stony Brook, Temple, Houston, Tulane.  Yes the offense did score some points in spite of his philosophy of slowing down the offense but you started to see his stamp of futility.

Absolutely, you could tell something was wrong in that first game in 2017 against SJSU

Has he ever beaten UCF?  The last few years are a painful haze, so not sure.

Up until last week, nobody in the conference has beaten UCF since Charlie has been here.

Strong has never beaten UCF. Willie was the last coach before Cincy did it.

I'll take something missing where it produces 42 points and 550 yds every time. It wasn't the GCO people were used to seeing but it was just about as effective over the course of the season.

Stagnating, slowed down offense down yet averaged more yds per game than the previous year. Also averaged more TOP/game than the previous year, which I think is a good thing?

Plenty of stuff to dump on CCS's team about the last year and a quarter but it makes no sense to try and lump 2017 in there ...

That comment is almost a year old and still proven true so far.

That means you have been upbeat for a year.
