I have preached patience and have stated repeatedly that you shouldn't fire a coach after two seasons.  Last night's game and the ensuing press conference have changed my mind. CCS is either using coach speak to protect his staff from criticism or he's just completely blind.  Either way, those things, plus his contract situation, have convinced me that it's time to make a change.

Glad you see the light. I’ve been preaching this since C game from last year.

From one of the more rational fans on this site, this says a lot.  I agree with you.

Don’t even look at it like. He’s not going to see that extra 1.5.

CCS leverage will be to renegotiate his contract down in order to keep the job. Don’t fall for it Mike Kelly.

IIRC, Strong was hired by Texas when they were a dumpster fire. He was brought in to right the ship and given time to bring in his own players. That's not the case when he arrived at USF. He inherited a team ready to win and win it all. What he's done is underachieve his entire tenure. That is a huge difference.

Sadly what is in his favor is that he has a winning record, even though we dropped the last 5 games, and he has taken us to two straight bowl games.  If he wins the bowl game, his job will be secure.

There are plenty of schools, including schools with long histories and bigger fan bases, that will kill to be 7-5 and go bowling.  It sucks to drop 5 straight, but the overall picture could be worse.  That is what is in Strong's favor.

Decision has to be made well before then.
