We are going to see what a real fan base looks like when RJS is invaded by UCF fans. That program is firing on all cylinders and expect there to be a 50-50 split amongst the fan bases at the game.

This could wind up being embarrassing for USF on and off the field.

We'll see.  I am guessing we'll have the usual 20k die hards.  I expect to be surrounded by ********.  Should be fun!

So what does then? It seems that the attendance/atmosphere wasn't that great in 2016 or 2017 when we were actually winning most games. Not sure we'll ever have a more exciting offense than we did in 2016, and we posted an 11-2 record. I don't remember the attendance or atmosphere being all that great.

Unfortunately for us, since we're not a long-time established program it's going to take big names and consistent winning.  A conference championship would help.  There would be a short term boost in attendance with an OCS, but it won't be sustained without the other things I mentioned.

Why is UCF's fan base now the standard to strive for?  They've won 23 straight, are defending conference champions, and are looking at being repeats.  Prior to this, their stadium was a ghost town.  If we had that level of success, Ray Jay would be rocking.

Exactly. Give me a call in two years when ucf is back to winning 6 to 8 games a year....

The lighting in that stadium is horrible. Particularly the endzones and corners.

UCF especially selected Musco "Green" Lighting for their on-campus stadium as their computer generated lighting system focuses almost ALL the lighting on the field with very little "light pollution/spill over" as UCF wanted to be "good neighbors" to all the home developments North and East of their stadium.

With what money are we going to build this stadium?

bulls were invited to join the BCS Big East back in Nov 2003...and then enjoyed 2005-2013 of BCS Membership, plus, benefited from exit payments from others who left the Big East. Plus, for a school founded in the 1950's and located in a large metro area, there are boosters and sponsors who could have helped out too.

Meanwhile in Orlando, UCF was playing Football in the MAC and played Basketball and others sports in the ASUN, yet UCF planned and built both a 45,000 seat on-campus stadium (already upgraded multiple times and will be up-graded AGAIN this off-season with another East Side Club Expansion) AND a 10,000 seat on-campus arena at the SAME TIME...as those facilities opened up on-time and on-budget just 6 days apart in 2007.

If UCF could do the above...almost anyone can build an on-campus stadium (many other schools have built new on-campus stadiums across the country since 2007).

”this is better than playing it in a giant pro stadium.”

That was certainly a dig at Miami and the bulls. It really was an amazing 36 hours plus on UCF's campus with College Football Live on Friday then overnight/early AM camping out for 3 hour Game Day on Saturday AM and then the 3 1/2 hr ABC Prime Time game on Saturday night.

UCF and the bulls have been conf members since 2013 and here are the titles won by team/coach:

2013: UCF: AAC Championship: O'Leary (no divisions that season)

2014: UCF: AAC Championship: O'Leary (no divisions that season)

2017: UCF: AAC Divisional Championship Frost

2017: UCF: AAC Championship Frost

2018: UCF: AAC Divisional Championship: Heupel

One team with 3 different HC's won divisional and conf titles while the other is still waiting even for their first ever divisional championship, let alone conf championship, in their team's history.

Maybe UCF's investment in on-campus facilities has helped attract slightly better recruits and help bring in more donor $$$ over the years? UCF's has under construction a new football building plus is adding their 8th premium club upgrade to Spectrum Stadium since 2015. Of course, UCF just received a 7 figure donation from a UCF Grad couple to build recovery cove which will be added right next to the stadium, their new nutrition center and practice fields.

Winning is REALLY hard to do...regardless what conf or level a team is at but at least UCF is investing in more and more on-campus amenities to not only bring in more revenue but also, hopefully attract future student-athletes (and coaches too), that want to take advantage of what UCF has to offer.

You have won 2 conference championships outright and shared another. Yes, this is done in five years. But that is still a short time frame and certainly even with that success in a short time there is no guarantee it can continue year in and year out...which is my point (for example you neglected an 0-12 campaign). In terms of facilities, you have not overtaken us aside from football. Our other venues are outstanding. In the next two years construction on the IPF will began and at that time your only advantage will be decreased. The advantage of an amuminum stadium which many claim is not an advantage at all. If your post was to say ucf was going to be whipping ass on the eastern side of the conference year in and year out, you are sadly mistaken as history proves this is never the case. So enjoy your run...while it lasts because it never does.

Good point as I will now go back to 2005 when both UCF and usf joined new conferences and post all of those divisional and conf championships for each team:

2005: UCF Divisional Championship

2007: UCF Divisional Championship

2007: UCF Conference Championship

2010: UCF Divisional Championship

2010: UCF Conference Championship

2012: UCF Divisional Championship

and then of course since both teams joined the same conf in 20013:

2013: UCF: AAC Championship: O'Leary (no divisions that season)

2014: UCF: AAC Championship: O'Leary (no divisions that season)

2017: UCF: AAC Divisional Championship Frost

2017: UCF: AAC Championship Frost

2018: UCF: AAC Divisional Championship: Heupel

Thats a heck of a lot of trophies for UCF and not one for usf...as for one team its almost the norm to play for Conf Championships on a regular basis while the other hasn't even won a divisional title, ever.
