Anyone still think Ray Jay is our stadium?

Ray Jay isn’t even that good of a current NFL stadium anyways. It was, 20 years ago, but not anymore.

Make upgrades like Hard Rock Stadium and then maybe.

I’d trade it for UCF’s atmosphere and tailgating on campus ANY. DAY.

Ya think winning 23 games in a row (the longest winning streak currently in college football) might have more to do with it than the location of the stadium?

Ugh, this thread is making me agree with NAS. This thread should never have started.

And not just winning, for the most part they are winning big.

The only way you get UCF’s atmosphere and tailgating...is trading in your green and gold gear for black and gold gear, and buying Bounce House season tickets.🥵

So you think winning a bunch of a games is the key thing to creating a good game day atmosphere?

Moreso than the OCS unicorn.

But with the caveat you win them in an entertaining fashion.

So we're back to square one on this 17 page thread. OCS isn't in the top 20 of our current needs.

No doubt that winning is a huge factor in attendance, but  having a stadium on-campus rather than 15 miles away has to help. Maybe not having a gigantic sea of red seats every week does something to improve the atmosphere/experience. Not saying we should start building one now, because money-wise, I have no idea if it makes sense or not, but in response to the OP, yes, UCF has a better atmosphere at their home games it appears, and the OCS probably has something to do with it. But again, to answer your question, no doubt the 23 game winning streak is the biggest factor in that.

The stadium is nowhere near the population center of the area.  The paying fans (not the students) have to travel to get to the games.  Ray Jay being 15 miles from the campus doesn't impact the attendance.

So what does then? It seems that the attendance/atmosphere wasn't that great in 2016 or 2017 when we were actually winning most games. Not sure we'll ever have a more exciting offense than we did in 2016, and we posted an 11-2 record. I don't remember the attendance or atmosphere being all that great.
