I'm not sure we could get him as I don't know if he would want to leave Utah State but Strong would have to relinquish all offensive control to Yost for that to work the guy gets paid $102k a year. Strong's assistant pool jumps to $3.4M a year next year. great pedigree to boot. Missouri under Pinkel, Washington State under Leach and oregon we need a creative mind to coach offense. it has become mind numbing watching this offense. It would absolutely be an upgrade financially for Yost. Here’s the thing, would Charlie let him run his offense? There will be other programs hiring OC’s. The last thing a guy like Yost is going to do is come into a program and be handcuffed

Who knows what could happen in life. In theory if we would open up the offense and he could tighten up the defense, we could be a great team with an advantage. Or would we could run up the middle and throw an incomplete on 3rd and 8.

If the Offense could hum it would make this team a LOT better and balance out CCS’s conservativeness.

It's not the performance of the team. It's Strong's attitude. I think the current lineup of players being young and the offense has some potential to do well. But Strong's remarks indicates that he thinks he needs USF to do something differently and not him or his staff. That's a red flag to me. Leavitt worked out of a trailer. A fine example of working with what you have and not making excuses. Strong has begun excuse making. He's not going to fix his system or staff. I was still pretty hopeful and optimistic about these young players up until this point.

Not enough depth (followed by a 0 target performance for St. Felix) 4. Uniforms (lol) 5. University commitment/Resources 6. Players ability to execute 7. Coaches not having them ready to play 8. Players not practicing hard enough Edit - forgot another great one 9. Offense scoring too fast Edited November 21, 2018 by IBulleve

He puts too much faith in this hapless defense and refuses to take chances on offense because of it. Against Temple, we punted on a 4th and short on the Temple 40 (45?) with about 5 minutes left and netted only about 19 yards. We'll never win games like that!
