Me either. Defense is supposed to be Charlie's specialty. Was surprised at the inability of our defense to adjust to that QB draw of UConn's. We've shown the ability to make in-game adjustments this season, but we seemed to be clueless on how to stop Pindell. King is just as good a runner, and a far better passer. ZERO chance that the team we saw against UConn beats Houston. Hoping we can rise to the occasion. We will need to have our heads out of our behinds for 4 full quarters to win this one.

Good point on UMass, giving up 58 points (that they kept it close is an indictment on our D.

People sitting near me and I were questioning why we didn't have someone like McGee or a safety spy UConn's QB.  Even my DAD texted me during the game asked me why we weren't doing that.  I suppose the DC is smarter than we are re: our defense...but it sure didn't look that way. At some point at getting gashed, you spy and/or run blitz and challenge your corners to cover man to man.   You can't play more than 11, but you can put more emphasis on the bigger threats.

If we don’t have “at least” one player spying King this week then the D coordinator can officially be labeled incompetent.
