I've decided to get off the fence. I'm with this 100%.

As long as we beat UCF, I don't care if they lose or win.

This year the key to a NY6 bowl is entirely in our hands so nothing would please me more than to enter Black Friday with the East already sewn up ...... at this point, **** em!

Our only chance at any championship is a conference championship. UCF losing helps our chances of obtaining that championship. 1st priority is to win something we've never won. Screw the NY6.

Going for national recognition is a waste of time. Say we get to play in a NY6 bowl. Nobody will care but us. According to the talking heads, even the NY6 opponents of the G5 teams don't care, and do not want to be there.

As far as I am concerned, the ESPN College Football Payoff is a major waste of time and supporting it supports it's bias and corruption. Last season, I didn't watch a single bowl game, other than ours, and I really didn't miss it. At the moment, nothing has changed for me to alter my watching this holiday season.

At the start of the season I felt that having a better C was better for us because it would mean a better win.

However I am not sure the way we have been playing we will be able to make it to that game undefeated ourselves. I agree the conf championship is the priority and now I think the best way to get there is to make sure that C has more losses than us by the time we play each other so they can't pass us to the championship game.

I hope I am wrong and this team continues to find ways to win against  Houston, Cinci, Temple and C..  but I don't think we make it past all 4 of those teams unscathed.

If you could somehow guarantee that we beat them in November, then I'm good with them winning all of their games up to that point.  Since that's impossible, I want them to lose every game they play.

The only thing I care about when it comes to UCF is if we beat them.

This is the correct answer.

And if by chance they are still undefeated before the game when we DO beat them, it will be icing on the cake.   Would be nice to end their little streak for them.

Yes, beating UCF is paramount.  However, in doing so, it won't help us achieve a NY6 bowl if that also is desired.  If we lose any one game and they only lose to us, they won't drop enough for us to pass them.  We need to hope that the relative rankings of the G5 stay intact until Thanksgiving.

This conversation again? I feel like this has been debated several times before. My side is that I always want them to lose no matter what, but the argument can be made that we’ve never beaten them when they were good(I don’t really count winning CUSA in 2007 as “good”). When we’ve both been good, which was last year, they won. The feeling of knocking them off at their highest point is appealing.
