just checked out Twitch --- they currently are showing the Elon vs James Madison game (Elon currently losing 9-7 and just scored in the second quarter) in case you want to check it out. THe twitter feed has several notes pumping up the USF at UMass game so I think we are all set if you want to go that route.

If they’re not in Amherst then what’s the point? There’s no value in having some random Times staffer watching on TV and tweeting out the obvious.

that is not what I said. Media outlets commonly use local (i.e. someone at the game) writers to cover the game. But it would not surprise me if they just had someone watch tv or make up an article by reading the box score. No respect but honestly-- is this opponent all that exciting to cover if you already don't like the local USF team to begin with? Just another way to say -- Hey USF-- you are a second rate program no one cares about at this newspaper.

PS--- if for some reason we lose this game-- watch how much coverage it suddenly receives. The Martin Fennelly article is already written with fill in the blanks for the name of the opposing team
