What exactly was stupid?  Thinking that a guy shouldn't quit on his team or stating that other players have lost their jobs and not or stating that he was beat out by a true freshman or stating that if he hadn't quit he may have been able to win his job back this past weekend or stating that he can do what he likes?  Which comment was stupid?

Won the job back? Like if he could show the coaches that he was capable of winning 90% of the games he starts or accounting for 3 TDs per game with very few turnovers? If he could convince them of that, I bet they'd give him the starting job back right away.

He only won 88.9% of his starts, so.......

What is good say for USF is not so good for Alabama and Clemson and others in the elite level. They cannot afford to lost multiple games a season if they want a championship so the pressure is different.   Heck look at the Cubs who are now saying they don't know if Joe Maddon should stay. Are you kidding me, he is the guy who removed the curse. If should coach there as long as he feels like it.  Alas the people get a taste a championship and their appetite becomes insatiable and everyone and I mean everyone is expendable for that cause.
