So,  just so that I understand and get this correct.

This young man should sit behind an all world QB for 2 years, start for one year and lead his team to a 12 and 2 record,  start 3 games the next year, also leading his team to a 3 and 0 record, then get "passed over" for a freshman and use up the rest of his eligibility at the whim of the coach?

As long as that coach doesn’t then have another dream job that he then leaves for, coaches can come and go as they please, universities can shuffle coaches as they please but if a kid has dreams of playing but the situation changes for them then they should just sit there and take it apparently since they should just be grateful for the scholarship.

He didn't get "passed over".  He got beat out by a true freshman.   He can do whatever the NCAA rules allow him to do, but if he didn't quit on his team last week he would've been the starter again and could have proved he deserved to be the starter permanently

No actually, he shouldn't.  It's fair to me... the coaches have to assume risks when they make these decisions.  Now players have options and can get to a place where they can play and develop even further.

Sounds about right. A QB that is 16 and 2 as a starter that has accounted for 4200+ yards 28TDs and 10 turnovers can't cut it and got beat out by a hyped rookie.

Not to mention if he takes one more snap this season the remainder of his eligibility is gone. The coach already stated who his guy is.

I like how when you run out of arguments you go to sarcasm and misspeak.  It's cute .....

I didn’t know anyone was arguing with you. Everyone just sort of passed right by your comments and made fun of them in their own way.

It’s cute when you ignore things you think are stupid.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
