I'm so glad we have another thread about whether UCF's success is good or bad for us. Seems like its been a whole week or so.

Lot of ifs and hypotheticals in that statement.

I'm looking forward to Lane cucking UCF. Both on the field and in the bedroom with the co-eds.

Bam!

This is not guaranteed.  The Committee looks at quality wins, not just overall record.

We'll know once the first official poll comes out... if USF is head of Boise then, I won't care if UCF loses.

The AAC is a higher rated conference. A one loss MWC champion will never be ahead of un undefeated AAC champion. Also, boise pissed away their one shot at a quality win this season. They will not be ahead of an undefeated USF.  I will take that to the bank.

Notice the difference is SOS ranking between the AAc and MWC.

2007 - W v. Tulsa

2007 - W @ Southern Miss

2007 - W v. Marshall

2007 - W @ UAB

2007 - W @ SMU

2007 - W v. UTEP

2007 - W v. Tulsa in CUSA Championshop Game

Those are all of the wins UCF had after we beat them 64-12 and every single one of them helped with our computer ranking that season. I get your argument, but a stronger UCF 100% helps USF if we beat them. If we had won the game last year, I'd list 11 other games that directly benefitted us.

IF you think the chance at one team making a marginal difference in our SOS is worth the benefit they receive by having those wins then sure I guess you can make that argument. It is my belief that them having 11 wins would be more detrimental  as it increases their profile, helps their recruiting, leads to more brand confusion, helps their argument as a reasonable alternative to expansion and is far worse for us if they win than it is beneficial to us if we win. We need to be as differentiated from them as we used to be so when people think direction schools in Florida that thought starts and ends with South.

How can that be taken seriously when they have UCF at 3-0 and having beaten UNC 38-0??

Speaking of mediocre things that some of our fanbase wrongly thinks it benefits us for them to be successful.....

I didn't look to far into it,seems like a glich. But if you can find something that ranks the MWC as better. im all ears....or eyes. Doesn't change the SOS though.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
