Its only week one, but he has helped them produce a lot of points against the Saints. Not saying its a done deal just yet, but its going to be a hot topic if he continues to play well against what has been reported to be a very tough start to the season.

Well, Winston is a ******* idiot. So that bodes well for Fitzpatrick.

If he has 2 more games similar to yesterday, they'd be crazy to pull the geezer ...

That's a big, "IF"

But you're right.  If he's on a roll, I could see Winston sitting for game 4 going into the bye.  I doubt he would still be the starter after the bye

I was discussing this with coworkers yesterday. If the Bucs are 3-0 when Jameis's suspension is over and Fitzpatrick keeps putting up the kind of numbers he did against the Saints, I think they roll with Fitzpatrick until he makes a mistake. Once he makes a mistake they will use it as a reason to put Winston in.

My feeling is that unless Fitz completely poops the bed these next two games, he will likely start week 4 in Chicago.  Bucs bye week is week 5, and the Bears game is on a short week following Steelers on Monday Night Football.

After the bye week, its up in the air.

If Fitzpatrick keeps putting up the numbers he did against the Saints, he's going to win the MVP.

Bucs just can't take him out at this rate.  As long as he's dominating defenses, he has to be the Bucs' starter.
