Impressive comments from Barnett on St. Felix

...from post game interview, I think.  Heard this on BullsUnlimited as I was getting some exercise.  Barnett spoke to what a hard worker St. Felix had been.

The more we learn about Blake the better I feel these next 2 seasons will be. Excited to see how he does with GT. If he speaks with the team how we have heard him speak I think he will be a good role model to our other QB's and will only elevate our whole team.

One thing i was thinking about after the Game was if AirBnB is as impressive as we all hope, then he may only be here for 1 season.

That’s a good point but are there many examples of a qb leaving early after only a one year track record?

I do not have any examples off hand. And again this is way too early speculation since he has only played one good half of football for us. But he has the size/arm/potential that NFL teams look for, already has his degree, and also married with a kid.

I thought about it, but figured it would be unlikely with such a small sample size. Who knows if we ball out and go undefeated with high score sure anything is possible but I think we get him both years. I have high expectations this year, but not that high lol

I believe Cam Newton was only at Auburn 1 year... if he put's up Cam Newton type numbers, I suspect that he will be gone. He's the prototypical QB that the NFL looks for, so, I could see his draft stock being pretty solid if he puts up stats and looks impressive doing it.

I can't really think of other transfers that were in that position... Wilson and Brissett transferred and went on to the NFL, but, I think they both played out their senior seasons.

Extremely doubtful. This team next year is loaded and has experience. We will be the fav to win the conference and possible G5 NYD invite. BB will want to be a part of that to increase his draft stock further.

because he's so committed to USF football after 1 game? I hope you're right, but, the kid has made it clear that his dream is to play in the NFL. He has a wife and child. If he finds himself projected as a first or second round selection after this season, I would be shocked if he decided to stay to be a part of our history... you know, since we're his 4th school and all. I don't have any issues with that either. I just think he has gone to GREAT lengths to get on the field and prove that he's an NFL talent. As soon as he does that, he will move on without risking an injury that could take that dream away again.
