I think those quick throws to the sideline replaced the hb dives.  He's saving the dives for GT.

You do realize most of the runs we call tonight were dive left and dive right? They just happened to be for positive yardage and in some cases more than 10. Not sure if that is to the credit of our offensive line, or to the discredit of a soft Elon defense.

84 was open all night and we have a guy that can find him anywhere on the field. Running plays and short throws were merely keeping the defense honest. My only gripe was 4 straight runs at the goal line. Yes we scored, as we should have easily done, but trying a couple jump balls with these big receivers seemed like a better option.

I think this is more the offense that Gilbert prefers to run. Lots of short passes, spread the ball around, spread the field and that opens the running lanes. 

Either the coaching staff wasn’t confident in Flowers’ accuracy or they modified what  they wanted to do last year to fit the skill set of the personnel we had.

I thought going back to the well with Wilcox was the play there at the goal line.  That score was a little too close, but props to BB for punching it in.

I need more data to make a conclusion, but I was expecting the offense to look more like when the backup QBs were in.

It was certainly obvious who our #1 QB is. I liked the way CCS  rotated the 2's in the second half. I'm not at all sure which one would be the true #2. Maybe CO looked a little more comfortable? 

Please just let BB stay healthy.
