Bold 2018 Season Predictions

We will go undefeated and then play in the Gasparilla Bowl because the AAC sucks, P6.

Bold prediction?

11 - 1 with a NY6 bowl win (only loss is Houston on the road)

Barnett shows that he is one of the best passers USF has ever had and makes all the mid passing routes that Gilbert's offense is predicated on.

McCants and Salomon go for 1k

Cronkite goes for 1k on the ground

Mack 2.0 shows that he's a great change of pace back and goes for over 700 yards.

Expectation:

9-3 with losses to GT, Houston and one of Temple or UCF (hopefully Temple)

Have multiple QBs start games

defense struggles with lack of experience and gets hosed by GT option but gets better as season progresses and dominates UCF in our house.

The defense is down right nasty, causing more pressures and turnovers than last year. USF ends the season on a strong (no pun intended) note with a near shut out against UCF. We look at the 2019 season through the same lense that we did pre - 2017.

• McCants & Salomon for 1,000+ with St Felix not far behind
• D leads the nation in INTs (Mazzi breaks the single-season record of 7)
• Greg Reaves breaks single-season sack record
• Undefeated Regular season
• Beats Memphis in the AACCG & finally shuts up C.'s trophy argument 
• NY6 Peach Bowl win against Miami

Don't know about undefeated, but I can buy into most of what is listed.  I will also add that Mitchel Wilcox becomes one of the most productive TEs in the country.  

If the OL holds together this offense could be record setting.  Talented with depth at many positions that we have not seen here ever.

This is a worry for me as well. I know it's 2018 and a different group of guys, but Navy put up a ton of yardage on us the last couple of meeting, and GT will have far  superior athletes (I'm assuming) than Navy. Really hard to predict what that's going to look like....

Navy and GT's offense will always put up yardage and eat a lot of clock.  That is how their offenses are designed.  The key will be situational football.  Can we keep them out of the end zone.
