Hi Guest,

In our efforts to raise funds for USF Football, the site is giving away a football season full of ad-free surfing at The Bulls Pen.

Would you consider buying a ticket or two to the raffle that will award this to you or a fellow member of the board?

Each ticket purchase goes directly to our effort to raise $10K in "fan money" for the program.  Below is the link:

The spread option is an offensive scheme that works at all levels of football. The key to a successful option attack is a smart and athletic QB that can make the correct reads. This new phenomenon has sparked some controversy with football purists, stating that the option hurts a QB's development as a pure pocket passer. Less focus is placed on their footwork and progressions, and more is placed on agility and knowing which defender to read

Sorry dude I don’t bet...I just make guarantees.

Neither do I !! OK, I'll note the guarantee. Good luck. It'll be a coin toss IMO. Are you going to attend?

Bottom line, you can't just assume that Milton will be the same player because in JH's air raid offense, he's not being asked to do the same things as what Frost asked him to do. They may still put up numbers but there is more risk for error and turnovers.

No, too far away. But if my kid attends USF next year I may make this my annual game. Yes, please note the guarantee...I like us at home... it will be a good one either way but I do think we get better as the year goes on which is important as our schedule gets more difficult.

As with most teams, it comes down to trench play. If you watch Milton under pressure, he fires up some very questionable throws. Their OL did a great job protecting him last year. I don't know what they lost there if anything, but, I suspect he has a big dropoff this year. He was good in that system last year, but, I don't look at his play and think that he is an amazing talent. I could be proven wrong, could be my green goggles, but, for all the hype, I didnt see the talent in the little bit that I watched of them last year.

This is correct statement.

and more questions is the DL as that is where question exist on defense.

if DL plays well the. Defense will be good as there is talent at LB and secondary.

if DL does NOT play well then will rely on gimmicks which are not sustainable and out too much pressure on LB and secondary.

funny...2 years ago Frost was an OC who had never been a HC too....he wasn’t generational.

No clue how Heupel will perform, but same scenario as when Frost arrived except expectations are MUCH higher and skill players depth much better

just a few thoughts

Frost and Heuple have had two completely different career paths. Frost was great at Oregon and probably would have gotten that job had he stayed. Heuple was fired at Oklahoma by Stoops so he could hand the reigns to Lincoln Riley. I can't really speak for you guys but everything I watched and read about Frost has known about his talents much longer than two years. In short, it’s a little far fetched to assume that Heuple will be able sustain Frost like success.

He was fired by Stoops, to save Stoops in my opinion. Frost had one great season as a head Coach. Year one was rather Blah, with many late game coaching blunders. He could not take a time out to save his or his teams life in several games, namely Temple IIRC.

Year two was magical. Lets not make him  Coaching Saint just quite yet.
