"What people need to realize is that I'm not here to run out," Strong said. "People think I'm going to run out. Once people see I'm here to run this program, we can build on it. I want to be here. I really am happy to be here."

The only thing I can really take from this is that he is in a different situation than Taggart, therefore it would be unfair to assume he would do the same thing.

This is good to hear, but we heard slick wille say the same thing. I do get the vibe the CCS is more like CJL. Wanting to build something (a championship) and making a name for himself and a legacy at USF.

What's he supposed so say "Yeah guys, i just need to win 10 this season and I'm jumping on the first P5 life raft I get.  ADIOS G5 PERGATORY!!!!!"   If we have a good season we'll see what his tune is when some mid-level SEC or ACC team comes knocking.   I hope everything he says in that interview is the truth but my realistic side just sees it as coach speak.

I am good with him leaving as long as it is with a conference championship for USF m.

He made money at Texas, so not sure he will be chasing that.   Hoping he is chasing that he wants to leave a legacy.

I doubt if he would take the Maryland Job if it comes available...but if GT comes open, he is good as gone. I don't know of any other job in the P5 he would take...Maybe Colorado, but doubt that. NC State would have been a real threat, but that is done. UNC will not part ways is Fedora. New coaches at Miss ST., Ole Miss and Arky...LSU will not consider him once Ed O is fired.

Vandy is one to keep an eye on...   It's a great fit for him in quite a few ways and Derek Mason is 18-31 during his tenure there..... One more losing season for Mason and he's probably sent packing.

I also agree that Tech would be a done deal the minute they offer

*puts on tinfoil hat*

That's why he's been recruiting Ga so hard this cycle!!!!

*takes off tinfoil hat*

But seriously Tech and Vandy are two schools to keep an eye on.

Sounds great and is great to hear.  This is what recruits want to hear.
