Florida Poly - what is going one?

Recommended Posts

I came across this article a couple of days ago and was wondering what folks thought about the viability of Florida Poly

The article outlines a tragic story where they are cutting resources (in this case the only mental health resource) for some reason

"Since the end of the spring semester, the university has laid off a string of employees, citing organizational changes. But faculty union members insist the cuts largely target employees who’ve spoken up about ethical issues and other problems."

It just got me thinking about their viability.  Does anyone know ow they are doing?

To keep this relevant for the athletic forum, if they were to survive they would be even closer than UCF and twice the acrimony.

ethical issues

That's how they managed to become independent, by some ethical issues.

Sounds about like how It would be run considering it's origins.

Ask J. D. Alexander

They were formed by one man who wanted to use hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to buy a legacy for himself. The crookedness of this politician knows no limits. For those who do not know, he was prepared to destroy USF if we tried to stand up for the students in Lakeland and give them what was best for them.

They were bound to have tons of growing pains, since they were founded 10 years or so before they were actually ready to become their own school.

FIFY

It was more than that.  It was all about money and power.
