I laugh at how all of the OSU fans are calling Brett a jerk. It reminds me of us when the CJL controversy took place with Brett's reporting. That dude will be 2-0 in bringing down coaches.

Yeah but, do you recall the screaming that occurred when Tennessee tried to hire him as their HC. I'm guessing that will be revisited.

Good point.  That was relevant to the Sandusky scandal at Penn St. I believe, but if I also recall it was more of resistance to his coaching abilities

He was breaking USF stories years before the incident and years after too, even after the athletic department turned over from Woolard.   The point mainly was that Brett isn't going to put everything out at once.   Brett knows he's unemployed, that Meyer is football royalty, and that if he doesn't have his ducks in a row here his career is likely over.   Say what you want about Brett but he's not dumb and wouldn't kick this hornet's nest unless he knew he had enough raid on hand to kill all the hornets....
