It's a shame the young man could never put it all together.  He was openly recruiting for us after he verbaled and didn't play the recruiting games most do even though he was fairly highly rated coming out of high school.   I really wanted this kid to become a stud because he was a model bull in every other way as soon as he gave us his verbal commitment through now.   I hope he kills it out in the real world.

Just really couldn't find a place for himself on the field at a position in which we didn't have a ton of depth. Unfortunate, but I wish the young man luck in his future endeavors.

Bummer, I was looking forward to watching him on Saturdays.  Wish him the best of success.

I believe he has already graduated and with the decision coming so close to the season I wonder if he is planning on just focusing on life after football. Wish him nothing but success and really did think he would be one of the stars of Taggarts first full class coming in, just happened that the positions he played or was tried at were also our deepest positions.

I don't think LB was our deepest position at all last season. We had some times where we were pretty banged up. Auggie was a rock and Nico was there too, but Bayes only managed 9 tackles all season. I hope he is out working and making money. It is awesome that he graduated in 4 years. Also, frees up a scholarship for one of the other guys this season as well.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I agree LB wasn't the deepest last year with Harris graduating but didn't we keep moving Bayes between LB and DL during the years we were playing a Nickle base? That's a year or two to learn the position and put on the necessary weight only to switch back last year to LB means he had to pick up LB again after playing a different position for a couple years.

Always stuck in my mind as CWT's first commit of his first full recruiting class that committed on 1/30/2013 and hardly waivered for over a year ...... even after a ton of solid P5 offers .... even after McNeese State and our first ever loss to the football Kanigits. There's no way he won't kill it out in the real world.
