I think July is a good transitioning month and once that was done, he left.

I never believe the "time with family" reason.

Why not?   There’s a lot more to life than work.

Strange that he would announce it such a short time after the new AD arrives. Wonder if there's a connection?

No connection at all. Mark's decision 100%. He works a regular job, then gives up all his Fall weekends. He decided he wanted those weekends back with his family.

I'll add to the list, Mark is a wonderful guy. Always smiling and friendly and he did a great job on the radio for our games and coaches shows.

Curious to see who takes that spot. Usually you want a former player or coach as the analyst. If you end up with a radio professional, then I would think Jim Lighthall would be the guy.

Thanks for the insight.

Mark was great, he will be missed.

Because it is so often used as a smokescreen for another reason.

That's exactly what led me to think there was a connection to the new AD...

I know right.

I'm not saying he's lying.
I'm just saying that reason has become so tarnished by being used to allow both sides to save face in some very morally reprehensible situations  that I cannot believe it anymore. Even when it is true.

He and his wife run a school.  Don't think quitting a 10 weekend a year gig means he's unhappy with his life.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
