More specifically, 2018 will be his second year in a five year deal if I remember correctly (and USF starts paying much more in Year Three). So, it's natural to soon ask for an extension, he'll be nearing that range by end of this season I am sure. Will he ask? I guess it depends. I suppose the easy answer is it is too early to tell....a lot can happen between now and an extension offer or request. But I wonder how much this AD hire changes things. What is Charlie's mood at USF? Is he more or less likely to leave on the first ship out of the Bay? Or does he find success and make it his home? What are the latest odds, guesses and speculations?

So hope that helped a bit to ease Charlie's pain of not getting Jurich. BTW, in Judy's comments yesterday it seemed like my mind interpreted something she said as "There was no way Jurich was coming here.". Can't remember what words came out of her mouth but that is what I heard. I still think Charlie would like to stay especially if an OCS starts moving forward in the next two years. A thought on FCCS. He really seems to hate donor related events. He probably won't show up again this year to the Iron Bull preseason tailgate event. Yet he wants everyone to show up at football games. Just sayin'. 2

Don't really see a correlation between those two things. I realize that the whole glad handing thing is supposed to be a part of that position but some hc's just aren't real comfortable with it. Just win, Charlie. 2

But delegating is also a CEO job, and I don't see where CCS has delegated the glad-handing either. So he better step up and do better, or delegate it to someone who can do it right. Either way, the glad-handing needs to get done. Maybe Kelly can coach 'em up and get CCS straightened out on this. And, just maybe, CCS will see that relationship as a good thing.

Sure, he may need to do a little of that during the off-season but CCS gets paid to win games. It’s the Athletic Dept and marketing’s job to get people to the game. I give CCS two more years at USF then he is gone. It better be with one a conference championship. 4

Agree Wife's a Gator. Gator club got Dan Mullen to come to town, and he got everyone pumped. I'll admit I was too. If FCCS wants people to show up, he is very much a part of it.
