this could probably go in the general sports forum but here it is.

The NCAA is giving some athletes more time to play.

This is huge. Q would be a senior if this was a rule 4 years ago ugh.

I think it is for the first four games only.

Nothing in the linked article suggests that, though ...

Listening about it now. I’ve heard nor read anything that implies that at all.

Looks like you are correct. Further, the player no longer has to be hurt. He can play in any four games then simply sit out the others and have 4 years of eligibility

That’s a major game changer. Big for recruiting.

This is awesome, will they do the same for baseball as well? And basketball? Or is there not a need?

Thought the article I read said they will be looking into it and the appropriate number of games for other sports.

article i read only said 4 games, didn't matter if it was split either, 2 in the beginning and 2 at the end.

also talked about the changes to transfers saying all a player has to do is tell the school he wants to transfer and they can't limit to where they transfer

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
